Albemarle School is beginning a continuous beautification project.  This project is designed to keep the building and grounds looking nice while providing a schedule for families to obtain some PPP hours during the weekend.  To help with coordination and scheduling, each grade level will be assigned a specific area of the school to maintain.  If you have children in multiple grade levels, you are welcome to work each of those grade level assignments or simply choose which grade level date works best for you.  The dates will be set at the second Saturday of each month and the time will be from 8:00-10:00 am.

• The Front of the School...This area is assigned to Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade.
• The Courtyard Area...This area is assigned to Third Grade, Fourth Grade, and Fifth Grade.
• The Flower Beds around the Gym/High School & Middle School...This area is assigned to the Sixth Grade, Seventh Grade, and Eighth Grade.
• The Interior of the Gym...This area is assigned to Ninth Grade, Tenth Grade, and Eleventh Grade.
• Families of Seniors may participate in any area.  This year will be busy enough.

The tasks to be performed in the outside areas include removal of limbs, trimming of bushes or tree limbs, picking weeds, and mulching if necessary.  This list is not all inclusive.  For the interior of the gym, these tasks include removal of any cans/trash from the bleachers, sweeping and cleaning the bleachers, and mopping the gym floor if necessary.
